Happy 23rd Anniversary to Us!

It is so weird to think of where we were so many years ago. I didn't realize where I'd be at this point in my life, so I'm just going to list some of the changes that have taken place.

I didn't know that we would have 7 of the most beautiful children.

I didn't know that we would be grandparents already...we're still young aren't we?

I didn't know of the joy that comes when you take a child to the Temple.

I didn't know that we'd be living so far away from where we were raised.

I didn't know that we'd be so overweight....we can still fix this!!!!!

I didn't know that Gary would have already had a heart attack.

I didn't know that I would be so much more in love than I was on our wedding day!

It's amazing that we still feel so young and yet it is such a deeper love than I ever thought existed. I'm so grateful that families are forever. Thanks, Gary for the years behind us and the many ahead.

22 Years!!!

On October 8th, Lissie and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary. I told her that it was my turn to do a post and she would have to wait. Needless to say, with everything going on the past couple of weeks, including a 6 day trip to Washington DC to visit Jordan (which I am sure Lissie will post about later), I have not posted anything yet. So.......here it goes!

I have had the opportunity to be blessed with the most amazing wife for the past 22 years. I have known Lissie and her family for over 31 years and I know I am a better person because of my relationship with them (don't worry, I wont get to mushy). Though I know Lissie likes things a little more personal when it comes to this stuff, I want everyone to know that I am proud and honored to say that she is my wife, and I love her. We have had some great years together with very few hiccups along the way. We have been blessed with 7 wonderful children and I don't know how she accomplishes all that she does.

22 years, the best years I've spent,

with a wonder wife..... to me you were sent!

22 years, and seven kids born,

all of our patience, completely worn!

22 years, and I wouldn't change a thing,

for true love and happiness to me you do bring!

22 years, here's to 22 more,

to the woman I love and truly adore!
